The Immersion Academy exists to invite people into deeper rhythms of spiritual transformation through facilitating encounters with the Spirit of God, thus awakening people to the beauty of Christ and their true self in Him. It draws together the Contemplative and Pentecostal stream to provide a holistic approach to spiritual formation.

Dr Ally Cawthorn
Founder/Director of the Immersion Academy
Ally Cawthorn has a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Seminary in California. Her doctoral studies focused on a contemplative approach to spiritual formation with particular emphasis on Ignatian spirituality. Her passion is to lead people into the depths of Jesus Christ, guided by the Spirit of Christ and an experiential approach to engaging with Scripture. She is also the Senior Minister of Urban Church, an Australian Christian Churches (ACC) church that she planted with her husband Steve.
Ps Steve Cawthorn
Steve was saved as a young adult after a radical encounter with Jesus Christ that transformed his life from one of serious drug addiction to wholehearted worshipper. Steve has a passion for the presence of God and seeing people encounter God and being transformed.
Steve & Ally feel a mandate to empower and equip believers to live a prophetic life and are passionate about seeing people come into deeper relationship and transformation encounters with the Spirit of God.
